Hat Trick!
Posted by: Audrey Post date: April 26th, 2009Treadmill running – pros: I don’t need to worry about childminding if I want to have a run while Hubby is out. Cons: boring, and I sweat profusely with no breeze. Still, it does the job. One other benefit – it makes me a whole lot less reluctant to go outside for a run.
I did a very little speed session at club on Thursday night. I was never fast, but after all that time off, I’m worse! Good thing was, my foot didn’t hurt. Baby steps, baby steps.
We went down to the Corporate Challenge 5k run again today. Hubby was helping at a run at Mt Mee, so it was just the kidlets and I. We got there a bit late, and as we were tying on our chips at the registration table, we heard the siren for the start of the race. We ran out of the stadium and up the road to where the start had just been taken down, and eventually caught up with the tail end of the field. Because we’d started running early, by the time we’d finished, we’d done 5.7km in 43 minutes or so, according to the Garmin. For the kidlets, that was a great effort, given they’d hiked 9km last night up to the Camp Mountain lookout and back with the dogs. Tired legs! Miss 9 was just getting over a cold and was fading towards the end, but Master 6 was like a machine. When we arrived at the stadium for the finish around the track, I gave him the thumbs up to run off on his own and see what he could do. He motored along and he looked like he could have kept on going.
The hat trick? – the first month of the series, we won the reef trip, last month we won some Nike shoes, and this month it was a double adult pass to Dreamworld and a $25 clothing voucher.I think we’re turning a profit from this series!
Other than that, it’s been an uneventful week. I have however checked this site’s stats, and we’re getting around 500 visitors a month. Sooo, where are you? Come out, come out, wherever you are!! Why not leave a comment, I’d love to hear from you!

Informative content.
Buying a comfortable pair of shoes is something most of us look out for, especially when it comes to daily wear. Therefore, one should not compromise on the quality of shoes based on its pricing. A good pair of comfortable shoes may cost you a little more but would be worth the price for the cushioning they offer.

Interesting, that’s two bloggers recently who’ve said having a tready makes them more eager to run outside!
Is that 500 hits, or 500 different visitors ? I’m constantly amazed by the list of countries that my visitors come from.

Hi Audrey,
thanks again for your emailed stuff from last week…I am still reading eagerly through the ebooks
.
I can imagine that running on a treadmill at home is not the same as outdoors, that’s why after 18 months of going to a gym at least twice a week really got me bored. And as you know, Anja sort of got me into running which I enjoy (maybe not as addicted as you chicks are
Ave good night.
